On Tuesday, we planted radish seeds in the outdoor planter on our way to the park. When we returned to class, we sowed microgreens seeds in the classroom planter and watered them, just as Frog and Toad had to do in their garden.
At the park, students have been digging in the soil, searching for worms (and treasure and dinosaur bones) and "planting" seeds that might grow into tall trees.
Students have noticed seed pods that have fallen from trees and brought them in to share with classmates.
In class, they have been observing the bodies of ladybugs as they change from larvae to pupae, anticipating their emergence as beetles... |
... and celebrating the strength and growth of their own bodies and abilities!
